Pros

Agilent has always been a great company to work for. -Good resources -Leaders in scientific innovation -Okay Pay -Good benefits/compensation package

Cons

I feel overworked and burnt out. I accepted this Job originally to cover a regional territory that would take me at most 5-6 hour drive away from home. I rarely had to take airplanes etc. When I applied, I asked how many nights a month I would be out of town at a hotel. I was told 2 nights a week at most. That quickly turned into an expectation that I should be out of town every night of the week.

Pros

Excellent place to learn biopharmaceutical world and upstream/downstream chemistry. They really do care about their employees and offer decent pay/benefits and growth opportunities.

Cons

The company culture is very boring and lacks any sense of loyalty. Their push for work/life balance is actually not as even as it seems. Certain shifts just get stuffed in barrel when it comes to production and the culture is still very white/upper middle class/science background and educated. A culture is not changed just by hiring diverse candidates, a culture is changed by UNDERSTANDING a diverse candidate base. This includes across all diversity not just race. This includes backgrounds, SES, work experiences, lifestyles etc... This is not to say you are required to know everything about everyone but as a team we didn't even eat together or ask each other questions or anything. It was do your 40 hours and go home. Period.
