Pros

- great product - Well known as disruptor on crowded CLM space - No code and low code is a popular theme in the IT environment

Cons

- very tactical sale - senior executives don't see contracts as all that important - company is a very non creative sales organization with few sales tools - managers come from traditional CLM space and sell the bells and whistles - lots of politics are HQ in Redwood City, CA; they have no idea how bad the Southeast US management teams are

Pros

I love the flexible start times to make my commute bearable. It's a relaxed office culture, casual dress, friendly and helpful coworkers, positive team atmosphere, spacious environment with nice location on the water. I'm an introvert and like the relatively quiet atmosphere. I am kept pretty busy doing challenging and interesting work. Everyone wears multiple hats, so though my main responsibility is to do customer implementations of our software, I also get to do other things I'm good at and have a lot of variety in my day to day work. We don't waste a lot of time on meetings, but we have company lunches and wine and cheese gatherings every week. There's a pretty flat hierarchy, so advancement seems to happen more through salary and responsibility increases than through many levels of management. Promoting from within seems to be the norm, though. I really appreciate that even exempt employees are really just expected to work 40 hours most weeks, and extra hours are only occasionally needed. I like everyone I work with - they are all smart and capable, and everyone carries their fair share of work.

Cons

It's a small company, and the people who do the best here are those who can contribute in multiple ways. Not conducive to very specialized job positions. I'm not sure how salaries compare. I think ours are probably a bit lower than startup or large company salaries, but we also don't work 80 hour weeks.

Pros

By far the most sane environment I have experienced in Silicon Valley. The product works, the company functions efficiently and we are profitable, not thrashing around trying to meet some VC deadline for the next round of funding. The bottom line is that we work ~40 hours a week and the stress level is low (by Valley standards). Everyone is really smart/competent and the atmosphere is very collegial; there are no egomaniacs, no office politics and no back-biting. Roughly half the employees and over half the executives are women, which is refreshing. All in all, it is "mature" in a good way. The average age is about 30 and we do not have beer bashes, but we do have wine and cheese tastings; we do not have millions of dollars in VC funding, but we do have repeat customers. Above all, we get to leave work at 5pm.

Cons

There is no restaurant in the office complex, or even within walking distance. We are growing pretty quickly and everyone is busy so there is not much time for hanging out and chatting with people.
