      company retreats were a great perk

      confusing direction from leadership that seemed to come from their own confusion also sort of a cult-like atmosphere

      We always hope that it works out and people do well and flourish at the company. But sometimes that just does not happen. We take a hard look at ourselves when it does not and try to learn from it. And as always we wish you the very best as you search for your ideal next role.

      Once you have worked at Aha! it will be hard to work anywhere else

      Pros

      - I get to work with some of the world's leading product management organizations - I have learned more best practices as a product manager in this role than my years as an actual product manager - I get to work with an amazing team who are all super sharp, engaged, and who want to drive successful results as much as I do. - The company is fully remote, and built that way since before Covid. I feel connected to the team, and I have full visibility to the company's strategic plans, all while working from home. - We get to travel to awesome locations and spend time together twice a year.

      Cons

      - I don't always have time to connect personally with everyone on the team as much as I would like. But I enjoy working with such focused team members, and we connect every day live to contribute with our work efforts. The onsites twice a year help balance this personal time with team members. - There is so much that we want to accomplish, so we have to prioritize our efforts. I think this is true everywhere though. I appreciate that we always stay focused on what is most important. - Don't apply unless you really want to contribute to the company's success. There is no time to sit around and wander aimlessly without delivering results.

      It is truly a remarkable team that I am honored to work with every day. When people ask what I am most proud of, I always answer the people. It is the highest achieving and kindest group of folks I have ever worked with. Those traits often do not fit well together, but somehow at Aha! we have made it work for a long time now. We are incredibly driven and that also means that we work hard. I am glad you appreciate that. Thanks for your generous comments.
