Pros

Working at Aha! is definitely one of the highlights of my career. The development team is very knowledgeable and everyone genuinely cares about you and about making a great product. It's also nice that the company clearly cares about its customers, putting real experts on the frontlines to help them get the most out of Aha! Everyone is super friendly and even though we don't see each other in person much during the year, whenever we do it always feels like being among friends.

Cons

Not much to say here, being at Aha! has been great so far. Working remotely can be hard sometimes but we do see each other in person a few times a year and we connect via video chat regularly.

Pros

Everyone at Aha! is smart and incredibly hardworking. Your teammates always push you to do your best work, and everyone embraces The Responsive Method. The people I work with are the best around. Even though we are fully-remote, we still build meaningful connections across the team — the company takes some great approaches that make this possible, whether it’s informal, virtual coffee chats with team members or our bi-annual company onsite. Our co-founders are passionate about the business. And they truly embrace a “people-first” approach. I love their philosophy of value over valuation — it makes me feel like I am working toward a larger purpose every day. Our leaders are extremely transparent and keep the entire team up-to-date on company performance. They embody our core values and set the example of how to live by them each and every day.

Cons

While remote work comes with a seemingly endless list of upsides, one downside is that it can be difficult to know when to unplug. It is important that you keep yourself accountable for the regular breaks and exercise that you need. Once you master this, remote work truly is a life-changing thing!

Pros

The workforce - Build strong bonds with some of the kindest and most driven industry professionals you could hope to meet. People are the fabric of any company and Aha! has a wonderful culture. Crystal clear and well-communicated vision, goals and initiatives - enables a remote workforce to be fully aligned and focused regardless of role or timezone. Comprehensive employee on-boarding - A thorough and intentional employee on-boarding programmes ensures you are quickly up to speed with the information you need to help you be successful in your role.

Cons

Working remotely requires a shift in mindset - Prepare to be highly productive but ensure you keep to a schedule, exercise regularly and work from other locations once in a while to add variety. Wanting to spend more time in proximity of your colleagues - Finding the best professionals around the world whilst achieving something great together forms strong connections and friendships. We’re fortunate to spend a week twice a year together in amazing locations but there is a yearn to spend more. Be mindful that customer success is a very different role to product management - You must be comfortable with that distinction (and transition) as the work required is different. Should it be a fit, it’s a meaningful and fulfilling role - helping fellow product managers all around the world, sharing industry best practices and ensuring happy use of Aha!
