      Pros

      I gained a lot of new experience while I worked there.

      Cons

      Air Products is known in the Lehigh Valley to expand and contract. When i first started there I noticed that there were a lot of people with 15 - 20+ years of experience and some with a few years of experience. When they decided to cut their workforce by 20% in 2010, my suspicions were confirmed. They tend to protect themselves. You need to realize that this is an opportunity to gain experience but you must be ready to move on when the economy turns bad.

      Pros

      Great business offering diverse and interesting career opportunities across the world for those interested in pushing themselves. Good attitude and approach to developing employees up to Middle Management levels.

      Cons

      Cronyism at senior management levels demoralising middle managers and aspiring senior leaders. Still very much a US centric Company not comfortable doing business in new geographies.

      Place full of learning opportunities

      Pros

      Lots of things to learn because of age of plant. The ability to work with things you may not know about is made very clear. The team works together to get the plant running.

      Cons

      Age of materials already in place makes getting replacement parts difficult. Materials management going through tough transition. Hard to get clear guidance from upper management at times.
