Pros

Open and collaborative environment to work. Lots of opportunity for personal development. Super benefits, competitive salaries, bonus, health care, free food, weekly happy hours, social activities. Inclusive workplace that feels like a family. Being humble is an important trait at Airbnb.

Cons

Airbnb is growing rapidly and this presents some challenges that may frustrate. Operating within the tech sector you sometimes come across people who have a sense of entitlement.

Pros

I've worked in "Corporate America" for close to 20 years. Airbnb is a breath of fresh air. The people are open, creative, supportive and incredibly intelligent. The work environment is welcoming, engaging and exciting. But the culture more than anything is strong, meaningful, supportive, and fulfilling. Lastly, I honestly feel like upper management gives a damn. They are as transparent as they can possibly be and I believe that they listen, admit when they screw up, and genuinely try to learn from mistakes to make this the best place in the world to work.

Cons

You'll always hear about work-life balance at exciting startups. It's not perfect here either, but it is what you make it. We're still a bit behind in some benefits, but we're also still quite young as a company. Now that employees are staring families more attention will be turned on family benefits. "Total Compensation" isn't great, but I'm still here, so it's not bad enough to walk away.

Pros

Airbnb is one of the friendliest and happy places I have worked at. Everyone truly makes you feel welcome whenever you get to see them. They've also brought on some world class talent in senior roles that means we are much more focused on where we are headed in the next few years. I really believe that we can do some great things. Its also nice to work at a place where those hosts and guests in our community really love the brand.

Cons

As with any company growing this size there are still plenty of systems that aren't just in place yet. The company is also getting much larger and so it's easier to walk around and see many faces you don't know. Feels less like a really close family each day. Sometimes you feel like work/life balance doesn't always work.
