Pros

The culture is a lot of fun and very laid back. They have a food program which will cut down on your personal expenses a considerable amount. There's room for growth. It's never boring.

Cons

It's a young and ambitious company with a fair amount of disorganization. This can be frustrating at times. But, most everyone has their heart in the right place and are working on moving in the right direction.

Pros

The Idea of sharing accommodation is cool and unique. The Office in Dublin is amazing. The Food is great and the Dog becomes your best friend there

Cons

A great Idea become screwed by hiring incompetent junior middle Management staff who have no Idea how to manage a team. If you are lucky a howl with the Wolf pack your future seems bright, if not you are doomed. One to One Meetings are becoming a real joke, as you don`t have the Opportunity to discuss your performance but rather the Teamlead Orders you how to do things. Useless Workflows in Place which changes anytime without notice, what`s today right is tomorrow wrong and vice versa. If the Teamlead doesn`t like your Face from the beginning you are doomed. Higher Management is completely disconnected from the Staff and they really don`t know what we are doing. Middle Management is completely incompetent to manage Teams and structures effectively. There is no recognition for your hard work or exceptional work or projects rather more a `who cares` mentality is growing instead. Useless and incompetent People are promoted very quickly so far they howl with the Wulfpack

Pros

Working for Airbnb is challenging, stimulating, and makes you feel like you are a part of something that is growing and changing every day, constantly evolving and moving forward. I love that! My team is incredibly supportive of one another, and takes the time to both provide helpful/constructive feedback, and also genuine appreciation/recognition on a regular basis. The perks/benefits/food are wonderful, and I also love the physical office space: can't believe I get to go there every day! Basically, this company gives you the opportunity to have a real voice and a real impact, no matter what your job title. Airbnb has also been intentional and careful about maintaining it's unique culture, and hiring people that are not only technically very skilled, but are also good human beings all around.

Cons

At least on my team, we are still working out the kinks in our processes and trying to keep up with the rapid growth. Things that used to work on a smaller scale have become a bit unwieldy, and so on top of our regular work, we are trying to update our workflow/processes. Sometimes I just wish there were more hours in the day! On the other hand, this gives us an opportunity to have a real impact on the way the department operates, which is cool!
