Nepotism runs rampant and middle management exists without accountability. Feedback from employees is not respected and double speak puts bandages on issues. No HR support for employees means many regular issues that verge on highly problematic.

- No growth potential. Most jobs at Airbnb will never become a "career" and it's important to keep that in mind when interviewing, especially if you are interviewing for a role that is not in San Francisco. For example, I received fantastic accolades every year for my performance and was never promoted to roles I applied for, despite fighting for it yearly. At one point, someone was hired instead of me for a role that I was qualified for, and they were not nearly as qualified for. This happened several times. It was beyond strange given my stellar performance and leadership, and felt like I was being purposely forced out.
