Pros

- decent pay - good work-life balance - not too much stress - public servant kind of job - you wont be fired if you don't perform

Cons

- you climb the latter, if you don't screw up (succeeding is not important), which means that you shouldn't fail, which leads to: no risk taking and no decision making - no strategy in place or totally disconnected from people working - no entrepreneurial culture: "we only build something new, when the customers fully pays us" - constant re-organisation (at least every 2 years)

Pros

Company is only good in Europe for mechanical and electrical people as it is an aircraft manufacturer. It is a cost centre in india(NOT A DEVELOPMENT CENTRE) and undertakes all kind of maintenance work on tools in India. Prefers seniority over proficiency. Non technical people in IM (Tech dept of Airbus ) Provides standard salary at entry level and medical facilities which other companies provide. Not a good company for computer science engineer who wants to work on some cutting edge tech. Some teams are doing OK'ish work .

Cons

working on outdated technologies for most of the teams , not flexible in adopting new and best practices. Bossy culture (say yes) to their every bad decision, work like a rat , don't question . Bootlicking preferred. Leave policy also quite stringent. Politics is major part of day's proceedings. Poor hiring is done here intentionally to make people work on less important work that is passed on to Airbus India . Only for senior people with 5-10 years of experience who want to have slow paced work and are done with development work in their career. HR policies here are very rigid ( tie employee to a 3 month notice period ) and HR here don't have any power . Everything resides with your engineering manager.

Pros

Work life balance can be great (as a structures graduate however this is debatable)

Cons

Structures (Wing) engineering grad scheme is a shambles, despite sharing feedback by graduates currently leaving every few months NOTHING has been done to address the issues. Most of the management / early careers has been made aware however they continue to push back. It's a shame since Airbus is a great company to work for, however due to their budget issues most of the perks are no longer there. Their pay is outdated, you are limited to "process oriented " placements with no focus on development or progression and treated as "free labour" (given a bad placement review if you ask for development instead of contributing to the team) Honestly lots of other options in the market, and as an ex-grad myself I can say please do not waste your golden years struggling for nothing
