Not at all a good place to be

Pros

Work-life balance. Exposure and visibility across functions. If your manager is good, you can get a lot of good work done.

Cons

Major politics. Some of the group managers are the worst. They harass people and even on complaining, no major steps are taken against the perpetrators. There has been no hike since last 2 years and they make you sign a bond for 3 years for 5 lakh rupees. Company is not at all employee or woman friendly. It is not a next gen company at all. Anyone looking for major growth should not come here. Leadership is extremely biased and protects the harassers.

Pros

You get to work on aircraft.

Cons

Everything else. Bias P&D process that creates a massive pay gap, the general statics are warped by the large numbers of men in manufacturing. Complex inefficient policies and procedures. New ideas judged by popularity rather than cost improvements or engineering criteria. It's 100% who you know not what you know.

Pros

Exciting projects, large enough company to allow development of a social network. High responsibility permitted as soon as you are willing to take it, if not before. Senior management are passionate about the company and its future.

Cons

Large, wallowing, bureaucratic beast mindset. "Yes we know it doesn't work, but that's the way it's always been done, we can't change it." Low ability to compensate anyone who stands out from the pack- herd mentality, dragged down by the lowest common denominators. Middle managers hide behind policy as an excuse for not sticking their neck out or making difficult decisions. Low salaries with the attitude that all staff are expendable as in the space industry, people are lining up to take their place. Not enough staff, so workload is high. Anyone with talent, drive or ambition is eventually forced to leave to fulfil their potential, leaving the dregs and the doormats behind, reinforcing the general stagnant negativity.
