Pros

The best thing I can see, Air Liquide will eventually take this circus completely over

Cons

When is Air Liquide going to trim the dead weight? When you see a occasional review that is negative, that is one thing. When almost all reviews have the same reoccurring theme, it is time to shake things up. I was recently in the middle of buying a home. My broker needed employment/income varification. I was referred to HR, I sent out the requested information, a week and a half later, no response. The entire Airgas HR is ineffective and appears to staff illiterate morons. Upper management appears to be staffed by individuals that either perfected the art of politics or knew exactly which set of butt cheeks to kiss. Very little, if anything, about cryogenics, but amazing at game playing. Safety department would know safety if it slapped the taste out of their collective mouths, but man!!!! They'll use every gimmicks sold to them. If it wasn't for the 17 years I have invested in Air Liquide, I would run as far away and as fast as I could. Air Liquide needs to take a look at the number of veteran employees leaving. Ask themselves why people have invested 5, 10, even 15 years of their lives with Air Liquide and are now leaving in droves from Airgas. We put up with a lot, and I do mean a lot, to stay with Air Liquide, why are they leaving now? Air Liquide needs to take over leadership. At this point, there is no company pride, there is no company mission, there is no dedication to the cause of bettering the company. The answer for that is simple, no professionalism at management. I recommend they do it quickly, otherwise what is left may not be worth saving.

Pros

There are none for this department.

Cons

The Cash Application department is in a continual state of flux. Job descriptions/duties are constantly changing. Training is non-existent but you’re still expected to hit your “numbers”. If you’re not hitting your numbers you’re put on a performance improvement plan which basically is "pass or you're fired". Keep in mind, your job changes every time the wind blows. Unlike Disney World, this is the Unhappiest place on earth. If you apply to either the cash application or collection dept I feel sorry for you. I could go on but it’s just something you have experience to believe Work/Life balance is good in other departments but not this one. OT is mandatory and is called that day or with one day advanced warning.
