Don't go down with this sinking ship

Pros

Unlimited PTO; Work from home ability; Good benefits

Cons

Crappy 401k, they matched a short amount ($3k per year max) but then stopped to save money. Only give raises and promotions to people who suck up to upper management. Everyone else is overworked and underpaid. When upper management is told about issues with direct management, nothing is done about it. Direct management just keeps getting promoted. Employee pay and benefits get cut while upper management keeps getting performance bonuses.

Pros

Strong product and continues to stay competitive in the changing market.

Cons

I really enjoy the product we put out to our customers. We work with some of the leading companies in the world and help them succeed! The cons that really stand out is management. There are some folks that manage people that have zero experience in doing so. You have some folks that have been with the company for nearly 10 years and is only in their position based on seniority not necessarily skill. You have folks that have the title but only work within their click, sort of like mean girls. You some folks that are the Van Wilder of Airship. They think they're the most popular but only to their team of "yes" folks. You have folks that talk like they read the most recent hot leadership book only to fail miserably whenever they are challenged by some that have outside work experience. You have folks that think they're The Rock, when they're just a pebble. These folks unfortunately have the title of VP/GM and while they are very experienced with Airship, have no real experience outside of the organization. I understand it's always better to hire within for financial reasons (someone that has been with the company for 5+ years will never command someone from outside of the organization's salary requirements. Unfortunately, this will create a rift between the old guard and newer, more seasoned professionals.
