Pros

As I look back on my two years at Airspace, I'm thrilled to express my deep satisfaction with the work environment, culture, and team dynamics that have made each day fulfilling. One of the things I really appreciate about Airspace is how flexible they are with work arrangements. Whether it's working remotely or adjusting my schedule for personal stuff, it's made balancing work and life so much easier and helped build trust among our team. Our engineering culture is another highlight. We're all about innovation, collaboration, and always learning new things. It's created a space where everyone's ideas are valued, regardless of their position, and that's helped us overcome challenges and achieve some impressive results, even when the market's been tough. Despite facing layoffs and uncertainties, our team has shown incredible resilience and adaptability. We've come out of it even stronger than before, thanks to the dedication and talent of everyone involved. And of course, working with such talented and supportive colleagues has been a real pleasure. Their passion and camaraderie have not only helped me grow professionally but also made every day at work enjoyable. Overall, my time at Airspace has been nothing short of amazing. The combination of work flexibility, our fantastic engineering culture, and the resilience of our team make it a special place to work. I'm excited for what the future holds and grateful for the opportunity to be part of this journey.

Cons

To be honest, it's hard to find any significant downsides.

Pros

Airspace hires great people. I enjoy everyone I work with and learn a lot from different teams in my day-to-day. Smaller teams mean more responsibility and ability to have more of a voice. All Hands meetings are nice to get consistent company updates where team members can submit anonymous feedback/questions to be addressed. Unlimited PTO is the only good thing left, and people do encourage the work/life balance which is good.

Cons

Lots of company, department, and team restructuring all the time, due to lots of priority changes in business/goals. Can be hard to keep up with or find rhythm in processes. Lots of projects that get paused or stopped halfway through. Many layoffs in past few years have taken a huge hit on morale. Company doesnt seem to do much to try to retain the top workers who have stuck around. As a remote employee, not much culture as all the "fun" events are in the offices. Many benefits have been taken away due to budgetting.

Pros

Lots of young people working there, and it was a decent pay bump. I also think the company leadership wants to do something good.

Cons

Lots of young people getting promoted to positions they are wholly unqualified for. This means that everything that sucks about inexperienced coworkers is made worse by those coworkers having no clue how not to abuse their power. This is managers, and other seniors, other departments. Regular gaslighting and cronyism. Manipulation from friends of superiors. Everyone is afraid to speak their mind, and on occasions that it happened, those employees disappeared within a month. This isn’t just unreasonable people getting what they deserve. It’s employees that were rewarded for sticking around getting rid of dissenting opinion.
