Pros

You can take on a lot of ownership from the get go, leadership will support you and look for opportunities for growth as much as possible. Still very much in a hyper growth phase, there's a lot of interesting and ambitious projects on the roadmap that are exciting from an engineering perspective.

Cons

Expectations are high, you'll be given the support you need, but ultimately you need to deliver. For some people this might not be the right fit.

Pros

I joined Airwallex in June 2020, and over the past almost 6 years, I’ve had the opportunity to grow very quickly. I started with QA work for the PA team, and over time expanded into tool development and team infrastructure improvement. What I appreciate most is that there are always new challenges and opportunities to learn. The scope of work keeps evolving, which has helped me continuously build new skills and make progress in my career. I’ve also had the chance to contribute beyond my original role, which makes the work both rewarding and meaningful.

Cons

Because the business grows fast, priorities and scope can change quickly, which sometimes creates ambiguity. This can be exciting, but it also means people need to adapt quickly and be comfortable with change. In some cases, processes and cross-team alignment could be improved to make collaboration more efficient.

Pros

There are smart teammates on the ground you’d get to work with

Cons

Management is short sighted and optimising for growth at truly at costs- where revenue is not built on long term trust, reliability & safety. Targets are driven mainly by “one off” revenue that isn’t displayed on the website, and desperate commercial reps charge without informing clients - completely subjective and have no value add to clients.

Thank you for your feedback and for recognising the strength of your teammates. We are proud of the talented people building Airwallex. We’re continuing to grow, and we believe there is real opportunity here for people who want to make a meaningful impact in a high-performance environment. We take any concerns about client charging practices, transparency, or ethical conduct very seriously. Any unauthorized or non-transparent charging would be inconsistent with our policies, standards, and expectations. Maintaining customer trust is critical to us. Clients with questions about their account or charges should contact us through Airwallex Help on our site. For employees with concerns, we encourage the use of internal reporting channels or speaking with a People Partner so issues can be reviewed thoroughly. We also recognise your broader concerns raised about management, targets, and how teams operate as we scale. We are continuing to strengthen leadership, support, and accountability so that high expectations are matched by greater clarity and consistency. If you’re willing to share more detail, we encourage you to contact your People Partner or use our internal reporting channels so specific concerns can be reviewed appropriately.
