The technology developed at Aiven solves a unique technical problem. No one else in the market is doing anything close to this level of innovation. Staff here are open minded and lean on experimenting with ideas rather than spending a long time pontificating on ideas. It's also very easy to be human here. The commitment to improving the open source world is wonderful.

Cons

Sometimes it can be a challenge if one needs a clear direction. Because the company is open to ideas there is not always a clear yes or no (but rather a let's try attitude).

Aiven is filled with talented people who are extremely humble and dedicated, it's truly a wonderful experience collaborating with our growing global workforce. We're all working together to build something amazing. We welcome everyone and choose to be open by default, and foster an atmosphere that encourages participation. I really love our Finnish roots, but most of all, the people and diversity of projects are really amazing here.

Cons

We are in hyper-growth which can be challenging, but it's also an exciting time to be at Aiven. If you like to work on multiple projects and collaborate with various teams then you'll enjoy the work and pace.
