Pros

Technical leadership that make data driven decisions. Very collaborative teams that empower employees to take ownership, i.e. open source model. Also, EU leadership is very different than US companies. Fast growing startups require a lot of work and long hours sometimes, but I have never had so much flexibility with time off, scheduling working hours, and work-life balance.

Cons

Remote is hard for a lot of people. Growing fast and its hard to ensure quality and keep good team culture.

* Culture and values of Openness, Courage and Ownership are not lip-service at this company as these values are encourage, supported and individually recognized. * 100% Remote Available * Career Growth Opportunities * Job tasks are always changing as you have the opportunity to work with many areas of the business

Cons

Work life balance can be tricky as it is your responsibility to push back. However, this should be expected as Aiven is still in hyper growth mode so it isn't exactly a con.

Great people focused on solving hard problems associated with how data moves inside of an organization and gets consumed downstream by AI and applications. Strong new leadership team has the company moving in the right direction. Truly international company with HQ in Finland and vibrant offices in other really cool locations (Cork, Austin, London). Come here if you want to be challenged but also celebrated for your contributions.

Cons

We compete for customers against some of the largest software companies in the world, so the challenge is real. But we are winning.
