Pros

Work/life balance is excellent--most employees can work as few as zero days in-office. Benefits are very good. Comp is fine--competitive with other industries. Top-down DEI is very good and thoughtful.

Cons

Currently, Akamai is struggling to pivot in the changing tech landscape. Several rounds of layoffs have hit Akamai in 2023. Additionally, there's variability in the extent to which employees are made to feel welcome/included in their teams--it depends heavily on the management chain of the group.
