Pros

The company has a very people oriented operation, and tries to limbo between the needs of the company and making it a fun place to work. I can agree that there has been a recent change in the heirarchy, however most things that I can complain about are vestiges of previous employees. Currently management constantly solicits suggestions for improvement.

Cons

Although the environment is improiving constantly, the nature of ther work heightens the urgency of every contact and communication.

Pros

The company used to be a good company to work for. Ive seen people promoted within all the time. It is small and you can learn a lot.

Cons

Company went into conservatorship and then began to go down. People were being fired regularly and the new CEO doesn't seem to be making a positive culture change or even trying to work towards one.

Solid mission of providing high quality affordable health care in Alameda County. Dedicated staff. Relaxed and friendly culture. Dress code is informal.

Cons

Can be difficult to do your job well given resources provided and competing priorities. Little opportunity for staff to inform management decisions. New priorities and initiatives poorly communicated, leaving staff feeling uncertain of direction of the company.
