Pros

Your coworkers are amazing. You can easily make friends and hangout with your peers outside of work.

Cons

Senior level management needs work, they have no idea what they are doing and often it comes off like they don't care. Alarm.com doesn't offer a competitive salary, or opportunities to grow within the company. I was told many times, "this is the way we have always done it," and never really felt like people were listening to what I had to say or offer. There were times when we got extremely busy, and my manager would tell me, "just give a B level of effort on some of those projects and get them done. They don't need to be your best work." I have never, and would never give anything less than my best effort, and to suggest to me to do something like this is a huge insult and just not right. Absolutely no recognition for a job well done. only 5 days paternity leave....in 2018. Insurance benefits are expensive.

Pros

- Very social and fun team; lots of out-of-office social events & happy hours - Extensive training program - Work is fast-paced so you're rarely bored - Nice office with a good view; very spacious

Cons

I was given the minimum pay I asked for and later found out I was making over $10k less annually than a coworker with a similar work experience, and with the exact same position and similar tenure. I had 2 years of experience in technical support prior to accepting position. I had never negotiated a contract before, and I felt they took advantage of me.
