      Pros

      Good place to work. If you show initiative, you can make it worth your while. Many ways to transition into new roles such as lead, inspection and etc. I give the union (AMFA) 5 stars. You actually feel that they have your back and are very transparent about everything. You vote on everything.

      Cons

      Might be stuck on grave yard shift for a while. Co-workers can be pretty negative and spread toxicity in the work environment. All work locations are in high cost of living areas and are primarily west coast besides NYC.

      Pros

      Coming from another airline, I can honestly say Alaska is on a whole different level! The benefits are great, but what really stands out is how valued and respected I feel every day. Safety is a top priority, diversity is celebrated, and the culture makes you feel like you belong. I actually wake up excited to go to work — that says it all!

      Cons

      Like any airline job, the schedule can be unpredictable — especially if you’re on reserve. Be prepared for long days, getting tagged, or having your trip extended depending on your days of availability. But again, that’s just part of the industry and something that improves with seniority
