Working at the Denver division of Albireo Energy feels like working for a small company where you get to know and work with everyone, regardless of position or title. The people here are mostly veterans in the industry and include people of all ages and walks of life. The workload and pace are dynamic which keeps it interesting, and there's always something new from which to learn and grow. Each person has their own background and experiences, and the company encourages us to use those to make creative/innovative decisions instead of just doing things the same way all the time which I appreciate after working for companies that don't trust that you may know better ways of doing things coming into the job. Management is also very understanding of people having lives outside of work. If you have an emergency and need to leave, or have an appointment you need to make, no one is going to give you any grief about it. No job or company is a perfect fit for everyone, but I do feel that this is the first company I have worked for where each person is more than their title, and I am treated like more than just my own. Many of my co-workers have worked here for 10+ years, which I was surprised by when I first start here just a few years ago. Now that I have been here for a bit it makes sense. You always hear that you should change jobs every couple years and that no one values loyalty anymore, but the Denver division of Albireo still operates like a small business. They value good people, and so those people stick around.
