good product and services, working stiffs were great people, Salary and benefits were fair.

Cons

Sr Management was very arrogant and unwilling to learn the new business they acquired. No sense of vision other than get bigger and sell more. They talked about doing good by the employees but very little effort on that part.

Autonomy and limited oversight with a religious focus on safety and sustainability

Cons

company obviously is failing - there is no strategic guidance or common objective other than to make money any means necessary. With lack of oversight or guidance, corporate groups all attempt to prove their value by claiming savings and growth returns. Reality is substantial political fighting and complete ignorance to the world outside the company. Add some stress and absolutely no chance at development or training and you've got the idea. High stress, but short hours - admittedly a weird combination, but it's the honest truth.
