*Favoritism, cronyism, and politics trump anything else. *Individuals that drop the ball, who are not collaborative with coworkers, and stroke the ego of insecure managers are the ones that are rewarded. * Unethical witch hunts.

Pros

Great campus setting, very nice people, exciting projects, focused on new products and innovation, good work life balance

Cons

Very expensive health insurance plans, overall poor benefit plan, way too political, personality can get you further than technical capability (which is sad), needs stronger technical leadership on projects, ineffective performance management program which doesn't reward sufficiently for technical/scientific talent and contributions, this place has mastered the art of "manufacturizing" research (which has totally killed all the fun that research can be)
