      Alcon's work environment is its top trait.

      Pros

      Alcon treats their employees very well. Their quality control is top notch and they are always finding new ways to improve their product quality and operations.

      Cons

      There is sometimes conflict among the different departments within Alcon. Each department (Quality, Operations, R&D, Facilities, and Warehouse) do cooperate with each other at times, which leads to delay of product changes, release, etc.

      Good Benefits No work timings Business casual attire Friendly work environment Strong company goal Company store with discounted items(Nestle + Alcon products)

      Good work is hardly / ever appreciated Employee reviews are usually not taken or honored Parking is a mess these days

      Pros

      Good benefits, good bonus structure, work family balance, flexible hours whenever possible. Good outplacement services given to all affected with the moving of positions to Texas (Fort Worth, ALCON headquarters). Acceptable severance package for those who were affected with the move or were asked to leave.

      Cons

      Everything was OK till Alcon acquisition. Transparency in information and fairness promised but did not appear to be implemented when the time came. "Accept what we (Alcon) give you or you can leave"
