      Pros

      I liked the pay at GMP but I liked the people and the job at research grade

      Cons

      1) They made me unemployed (I signed a contract stating I would start 04MAY2020 but they called me last minute and said, "due to covid we can't start you until July possibly") 2) They promoted two people before me because they wanted to get rid of the other two 3) There was a time where they only gave men in night shift manufacturing raises and not the women who had the same amount of experience 4) Pretty consistently hired new people with starting pay higher than current employees 5) I left to go to school full time and as a nice parting gift they made sure to garnish my wages to get their tuition reimbursement back.......how kind of them.

We encourage you to re-apply at Aldevron should you so desire once you complete your schoolwork. A few other clarifications: First, we are sorry to hear that your start date during the pandemic was delayed. It was a difficult and chaotic time for many companies, and Aldevron was no exception. Second, as long as dating relationships are disclosed to the managers of those dating each other, so that potential conflicts of interest can be addressed, we do not interfere with our employees’ decisions to date each other. Finally, we hire and promote people based on their individual skillsets and merit, not based on gender or tenure, and we take into consideration multiple factors when making these decisions.       Good Entry Level Experience, Horrible for Career Growth

      Pros

      Everything is learned on the job, as long as you are willing to work hard and are production oriented you will be enjoy the work. Overtime is available at times. Cost of living is fairly low for the area. With good financial planning and discipline you can save a good amount of money. Great opportunity for new college graduates and/or anyone who wants to change work field.

      Cons

      Business/Management: Poor communication between financial or business side and manufacturing. Parties and events will be held by one side and the other is expected to keep working and not encouraged to take part. Manufacturing and the work done by the department is often taken for granted and under appreciated. All operators are considered replaceable and often pushed out using indirect and circumstantial conditions. Work Culture: Every promotion and review has been opinion-based. If someone says something negative about you it is taken as truth with out any investigation or follow-up questions. Nothing. Too much he said, she said. No one takes responsibility for their mess ups. Gets tiresome. Operator Woes: Job responsibilities change at the drop of dime without any input as to feasibility. Additional responsibilities constantly being added while none are taken away and no pay increase. Can be cliquish in so many ways, from competition between the different shifts to the business side vs manufacturing, everything is about who you know. Gets uncomfortable at times.

      Client expierience, they will do ANYTHING to appease them.

      Cons

      They treat production like absolute trash Incompetent upper management HR is the literal devil Very much like high school Clients before workers Pay isn't up to industry standard Bringing any problems up to management just gets ignored You are just a number, as a quote from a manager if you quit they will just "reload" with new employees Don't bother trying too hard, you'll be a 3 out of 5 star employee, just like everyone else
