Pros

I’ve been working at Alight for 2 years now and it’s been a great experience. I’m sure a lot of this depends on who is your manager, but I have experienced a tight knit team and support throughout my career at this point. I am a licensed individual with FINRA as required by my role. With that comes a sense of job security when being part of a new business model which is performing. Lots of room to grow your skillset (might not equate to job openings but still good for development) and compensation available to take relevant certifications or further licensing. Not to mention being remote is a huge plus plus for me. Great to work from a business to business standpoint. Company culture is healthy, seems to put an emphasis on the employees well being. 401k matching and diverse investment options and provisions. Tuition reimbursement available. Late Shift pay rate bonus depending on time zone. Has offices globally and reaches international markets. Great benefits. Great opportunities. Decent pay. Good PTO.

Cons

The cons working here vary, I think it depends mostly on what part of the business you are in and who your manager is. I have very few complaints other than the expectation to service multiple clients increases the margin of error in performance. For example as a rep you may start off servicing and being trained on only one client but that can evolve up to 6-7 clients. (The most I’ve heard of a team being trained on) While more clients doesn't always equate to more call volume. It can be confusing at times because the plan rules differ between clients. Lots of information and knowledge to keep track of. You get your PTO balance in increments every pay period. I would like to see it that at least half of your annual total vacation time paid to you at the beginning of the year. You would have to wait until the end of the year to have earned all of your PTO. Some say the pay isn’t great. I think this can be attributed to poor/lack of negotiation when getting an offer. However, I do have reason to believe that the compensation ceiling may be lower than average. You’d have to do your own research. Most importantly advocate for yourself. I’d also say these aren’t all true cons but rather things to be considered as an applicant. These are the expectations for this role.
