Pros

Good pay and benefits, not much structure for advancement of more junior employees

Cons

Projects can be boring and last a long time (specifically for the corporate strategy group - CS&T)

Pros

CEO and leadership has clear communication on growth path, structure of the firm and current state. Compensation at all levels, are in general above market - with benefits, perks and upward mobility best in class. Project work as well as internal intellectual capital are top notch. Individuals can weave their own path at their own pace - if someone wants to work full time 50-60 hours in client projects, and wants to take up 10 hours of BD/Proposal work as well as a few more extra-curricular engagements, management and leadership provides necessary support.

Cons

Brand name and awareness outside the firm is still lacking - albeit significant investments and marketing collateral has been published. Often is looked at being way too expensive and at lower level client personnel view us as pre-bankruptcy restructuring consultants - translating to potential mass layoffs. Not a good signal which often we have to navigate really carefully.
