Pros

Frankly speaking a good manner & mental state group of people to work with. Team collaboration were the best thing at AlixPartners

Cons

The systems and process they have are very old and disorganized. Extremely political place, politics are played by the senior management themselves. There is an incredible amount of dead wood. No-one seems willing to face the situation that the legacy IT systems now take so much maintenance, are extremely costly, and just add risk but turning the company into an IT dinosaur. Salary growth and bonus is at all time lows.

Enriching learnings

Pros

Enriching learnings with trainings and other platforms they have. Salary is considered competitive. There is a chance of having good folks within the team. Technology is getting better.

Cons

The following is based solely on my personal experience: - Prepare yourself for a long working hours as well as weekends and out of business hours. - The work environment within the consulting - m&a team was challenging, marked by interpersonal dynamics that felt more individualistic than collaborative. I often encountered what I perceived as office politics, with behind-the-scenes discussions seeming to play a essentials role. - From my viewpoint, turnover appeared to be unusually high, with many employees leaving or being let go unexpectedly. This observation is also reflected in other reviews on this platform. One of the biggest difficulties I experienced was aligning on strategy direction. There seemed to be numerous decision-makers but a lack of clear leadership to unify the team’s efforts. This review reflects my personal experience and is not intended as an account of the Alixpartners’s work environment.

optimistic about my potential contributions

Pros

1. Good experience to learn career 2. Pay isn't bad 3. Have good benefits 4. Possibility to work remote

Cons

I typically do not provide feedback about companies, but my experience with AP (Alixpartners) compelled me to share my thoughts. It has been one of the most disappointing experiences in my career. When I join the organization, I was optimistic about my potential contributions and the opportunity to apply my knowledge. Unfortunately, due to a lack of support from my manager and the immaturity of team leaders, While I believe that the employees can elevate a company, I have observed a troubling trend where the culture is deteriorating, largely due to the actions of certain individuals. Although the management in the U.S. and UK was competent, there are numerous immature and self-centered individuals who are fostering a negative work environment. Conversations in the industry often reveal a consensus that this company is not conducive to a successful career and is viewed merely as a place to pass the time.
