Pros

Great co-workers. Great clients. Seeing clients successfully use our product.

Cons

They've gutted the family culture that built their company. Leadership now openly states that work-life balance takes a backseat to hitting numbers. That's not just short-sighted—it's destructive. Their restructuring decisions are baffling. They're laying off the people who built the company while making friendship hires. The disconnect is staggering. How do they expect loyalty from remaining employees while shipping their colleagues' jobs overseas? Most concerning is how removed their leadership has become. They issue directives from the C-suite without understanding what's actually happening on the ground. Real leaders engage with their teams. They ask questions. They listen. These executives don't. The market sees through the rhetoric. Their stock performance reflects what employees already know: there's a fundamental disconnect between what leadership says and what is really happening with the culture. This isn't sustainable. They can't cut and offshore their way to growth while destroying morale and hemorrhaging institutional knowledge. The market is sending them a clear message. Either leadership makes real changes—not just talk—or they'll watch the continued erosion of both value and talent. The choice seems obvious, yet here we are.

Pros

I enjoy the people and the product I support. The pay is decent and I prefer working remotely

Cons

Alkami tends to promote the wrong people to crucial roles. I work under two managers who had zero clue about the process to implement our solution when they took over as manager. The bottom line is the biggest focus and upper management’s expectations are completely baseless. No one really understands what they are responsible for and the goals are completely unrealistic and literally pulled from the sky. Unlimited PTO only benefits the people who take advantage of it-I’m often left with overwhelming responsibilities because the same people take two weeks off at a time. I’m required to go to meetings with a “team” who never acknowledges the solution I support. The majority of the people on my “team” support a completely different solution, so no one shares the same issues so it’s almost impossible to be heard or understood. I prefer to work remotely, but I’m constantly working. I’m forced to regularly skip lunches and work on weekends to complete tasks. There’s also a big push to make the customer experience better, so customers are not held accountable for much. During the sales cycle, very little information about the solutions implementation requirements are shared, so the client is super unhappy to learn they actually have some heavy lifting to get the project going

Pros

Solving real business problems and steady growth

Cons

Senior Engineering management seems like a close-knit group who worked before in some other place and have inflated egos and titles
