Location is nice, benefits are decent.

Cons

No professionalism in management . Most of the employees know who each other saw as bad managers, but upper level management is oblivious. That - at least in part - is because upper management values different things than the employees. A very Toxic and hostile environment to work in. Any kind of suggestions or feedback to management have negative repercussions. Unlimited vacation is a joke. It all works based on your relationship with manager.

Fast Growth Company Done Right

Pros

Culture - all teams seem to be rowing in the same direction and invest energy in supporting one another. This is one of the hardest things for a young/fast company to maintain, but at the moment it's working incredibly well. Transparency - open communications policy internally and with customers. It's one of my favorite traits about Alkami. Recognition of what parts of the business need attention and willingness to invest early to make improvements. High performance peers - lots of people to learn from and compete with. Definitely a boost to have peers that can contribute to your career growth and development. Consistent strategy - regardless of the company stage, the strategy has remained constant and simple.

Cons

Depends on your frame of mind. Having spent a career in fast growth companies, there is nothing here to complain about. I like quick pace and rate of change. There is a LOT of activity and we're balancing resources to care for each parts of the business as it grows. There are plenty of growing pains, but the culture of transparency and positive problem solving make all the difference in how it feels.

Potentially a Great Company but Growing Pains May Doom Them

Pros

Product is evolved, location is nice, benefits are decent. This small company boasts amazing talent at the worker-level. This is heavily development driven, but also possesses great talent with sales, product and delivery. Good pay for the work.

Cons

You can see the signs of implosions and mismanagement on the horizon. It resides with constant heroics, working toward features with disregard to the whole, and blame-shifting for fault. Decisions actually come from individuals, not consensus and have large ramifications. The visions are conflicting and short-sighted about the product and sustainability of the product in a market that is becoming crowded. When you add the mixture of highly talented and overworked people consistently performing heroics due to poor planning, you have a recipe for disaster.
