Pros

I am thrilled to work for a company who values my experience and where I am limited only by my own ambition. I am given the chance to train for any skilled job that I am interested in. This makes me more valuable to the company, and able to jump in and tackle any need that may arise. I am impressed by their culture of safety for ourselves, and everyone around us. No matter how impressive the projects we take on and successfully complete, it is not worth a single person not going home safely. This has been engrained into every employee and contractor.

Cons

We often work long hours to achieve seemingly insurmountable goals. It makes it worthwhile though when we without fail successfully and safely complete them. It is sometimes hard to take watching the constant recruitment of college graduates to supervise us after we train them but we ourselves who are trained are passed over for management.

Pros

Allan Myers has always been a company of strength, and I look forward to its continued growth and development. I have worked here for 28 years and Allan Myers gave me the opportunity to provide a great life for my family while doing important work for the infrastructure of our country. I enjoy that I can see the product of my work and because of my experience I am able to work independently with little supervision. Also, the company takes care of its employees with a benefits package second to none.

Cons

Traveling for work can be a sacrifice. When planning for job materials and equipment management does not always seek the input of the field employees which has caused delays and challenges that could have been avoided.
