Pros
Allegheny Health Network is made up of several hospitals, I have had the experience of working at Allegheny General. A pro of the hospital is that there are amazing and intelligent providers that work there, I have had the opportunity to learn a great deal from them. Additionally, it is a very team-oriented group in my department which is another pro as to what has kept me there. Scheduling varies by department/floor, however, in mine, we mostly get the schedule we request which is a bonus, especially for those with children.
Cons
I don't feel that nurses are compensated how they deserve to be and additionally, it doesn't make me feel better that they continue to extend our travelers' contracts yet the staff nurses at the hospital have seen very little increase in compensation.
