Pros

EASi has an innovative program where they are combining workforce development and contracted projects. It allows them to people on real project work, while being profitable as a program. The company which contracts with them receives not only project design but also highly skilled employees to hire.

Cons

The management system is chaotic, unresponsive, non-committal, and often downright incompetent. The success of the program depends on the hard work of it's lowest level of employees.

Pros

Relaxed environment, most people are very friendly. Schedule is flexible as well. They offer 4/10s. That's the extent of the good.

Cons

Never used MicroStation and let them know, and there's no guidance to learn. Thought hourly pay was decent, until I had to use the insurance. Only 1 option for insurance and it's a $2500 deductible HSA. They only contribute $1250/year into it, so you have to foot the bill for anything over that. Basically if you're not healthy your whole life, you're screwed. Next year will be the same thing because you can't save this year's contribution if you have any kind of medical expense. Even after you hit the $2500, plan only covers 80%. On top of that, you owe a monthly premium ($320 for my spouse and I). Dental and vision are equally crap. Dental only covers cleanings once a year and orthodontics for participants under age 18. If you have kids with crooked teeth, this might be ok-I don't. Cost of it is more than the cleanings if I were to pay cash! And there's NO 401k match AT ALL. I'm getting out of there.

Pros

Tons of people my age, just out of college, or on their 2nd or 3rd jobs. Plenty of people to talk to, vent to.

Cons

I knew going in that this was all quantity over quality. I was constantly compared to everyone around me, which, being new to the work force, was awful. It was extreme competitive recruiting for the "best people" to take low-income part-time jobs, which is a recipe for failure. Basically there are 80 people recruiting via phone, in one room (cube farm), all around the country, and if you don't get at LEAST 5-6 hires per week, you are at the bottom of the group, and after about three months, they consider letting you go. I lasted eight months averaging 3-4 hires a week, and considered myself one of the ones who slipped through the cracks. Management was tough--some are tough and nice, others are tough and rude, as if you're in an army camp. One team would get in trouble for putting their phone back on the hook. You had to sit there with in hanging on your shoulder while you searched for the next person to call. I am not shy, nor am I weak, but the leaders were unnecessarily intimidating, and it was very distracting in an already difficult environment. Felt like pure bad and good luck.
