Pros

Benefits are good, hours management are slack so no one actually knows what you are doing or supposed to be doing, or cares what you are doing. Pay and benefits are decent, but not for how you are treated, year end bonus is ok.

Cons

No management - so completely chaotic, blame comes downwards and management always wins. If you are a good corp. robot who fears success but needs a salary - this is the place for you. If you have 2cents of dignity - wait for a better job to come along, it won't be hard to top.

Pros

Alliant knows its market niche extremely well, and really knows how to focus on the core business. In addition, the company has its heart in the right place, even if all eyes are firmly focused on the bottom line. For folks whose career paths are aligned with Alliant's market niche (which is growing), spending some time there to learn how a lean and hungry company operates isn't a bad idea -- but consider getting out once you've learned. For everyone else, well -- the company talks a good line.

Cons

The company is moderately to extremely incompetent outside of its core business -- from hiring new folks to keep up with growing business, to managing infrastructure, contracts ... well, pretty much everything else is hit-or-miss or worse. If you aren't a broker/producer, use Alliant as a stepping stone but get out fairly quickly before your career gets sidetracked and you find yourself putting in 60 hour weeks for someone else's gain.

Pros

Alliant, formerly Driver Alliant, provides a great team working environment. They are very much focused on improving processes. Working in the Public Entity division entails working on the worlds largest property insurance program placement which is Nationwide can be quite tedious compiling all of the necessary renewal data. But, every year they are looking on how to work smarter and harder by wanting our input and recommendations. Bonus structure is awesome!

Cons

Probably a down-side would be that their reviews are not very timely. It's important for staff to feel that management recognizes them for their hard-work and dedication, and reviews are designed for that purpose in giving feedback on current work performance, as well as setting goals for the upcoming year.
