Pros

Their mission statement celebrates their not-for-profit status and honoring the donor....

Cons

However, upper management is excessively focused on revenue and growth. They mainly only use their not-for-profit status for PR purposes and to justify squeezing pay/benefits from employees

Micromanagement was huge.

Pros

It was nice to work with some creative brains.

Cons

They would expect you to learn everything in a complicated industry in no time at all, less than 3 weeks. CEO would constantly scold or threaten its employees on a daily basis. Micromanagement was huge. You must clock in and out for every single step you take. It's actually funny and ridiculous.

We are glad you found value in your experience working with your AlloSource colleagues. Tissue banking is a unique, specialized industry. Our employees find it both challenging and rewarding to work in a high-performance culture that is led with transparent communication. Our on-the-job training program is robust, and we regularly evaluate it to ensure it supports employee success and development. As with all companies, all hourly employees are required to track their time to ensure compliance to pay and hours worked standards. We know this can be cumbersome and appreciate employees adhering to the process.

Morale is at an all-time low

Pros

The other departments have been a pleasure to work with

Cons

Upper management has been promising the same things (merit increase, more creative work, ne hires, and many other thing) for several years now, it's been evidently clear that they have no interest in delivering on their word and are just interested in the bottom line. As a result, morale in the company is at an all-time low and has been plummeting each passing month.
