Pros

Professional services (implementation) staff people are fantastic - almost always willing to go the extra 10 miles for their clients. Most clients are very appreciative for the knowledge/assistance they receive from Professional Services staff members.

Cons

Company does NOT believe in work/personal life balance Senior management lies/deliberately misleads employees about state of the company. Delivers defect-laden code to customers Holds implementation people responsible for defects/issues caused by bad code Advancement in Allscripts is based on who you know NOT what you know or accomplish

Good salary. Good Benefits. The company focuses in an area that requires a lot of change to improve health care delivery and IT. Interesting work.

Cons

Politics. Lack of innovation. You have to leave and come back to get promoted. Lots of cliques.
