Pros

Good benefits and stock options

Cons

Lack of Management accountability and training. C suite living large even the ones that have been terminated, while hard working people that get the SFM product out in general release get barely a pay raise and no bonus for the past year. Expectation is that there is no work life balance work, work, work but no appreciation for this. Very clicky in the Burlington, MA office. If you are part of the click you are fine by the way the click does not have knowledgable hard working people in it, but they are likable. Lack of domain experience and the one that has it is ignored. The product is going to go down the tubes once users actually get on the product.

Pros

Work from home, Decent benifits, decent pay

Cons

Where do I start...........Well although I am pretty sure this is a trend throughout the new corporate America it is certainly a way of life at Allscripts. This company cares nothing for its employees and customers. It seems to have fallen into a perpetual "Let's lay off Americans, replace them with people from India so we can improve our bottom line" company. They bring in new CEO’s (Guys that are known for making a corporation attractive to potential venture capitalist, think Bain) so they can keep selling and raking in huge multi-million dollar bonuses for the top people while the hard working employees and customers get screwed. The scary part is these big health care corporations are supposed to be making things better for doctors and their patients. Unfortunately the name of the game in today’s corporate world is 100% greed. Gone are the days of corporate board members putting 110% of their efforts into building and growing a company that will provide a great working environment for their employees’, as well as, great products for their customers. Allscripts is just a big ATM for the top senior level management. They take until there is nothing left to take and then sell the carcass to the next guy that can figure out a way to squeeze more money out until there is nothing left but to close the doors.
