Pros

As and agent you get the satisfaction of helping/advising people regarding what are most definitely stressful times in the advent of claim or an accident.

Cons

Allstate is currently moving to remove (Run out of business) the small and medium size agents by reducing renewal premiums. The contract Allstate has with the agent (3001) can be modified by Allstate with only a 90 day notice. No modifications can me made from the agent side. 95% of Allstate exclusive agents fail with the first 5 years. System designed for failure.

Pros

Work from home is the only perk. Day one benefits

Cons

Lied in the interview. Half my class was lied to, said we were inbound agents and there would be no cold calling, what a flat out lie that turned out to be. They didnt tell me i was outbound until the week we take calls so now i am searching for something else. Also, the bonus is NOT paid separately. It will tax out your entire paycheck and then youll be laughed at and told “you thought it wouldnt be taxed?” I was told id get x amount after taxes and that was not what was received. They will get your time invested and then tell you the truth thinking youre too invested to quit. No wonder turnover rates are so high. Also, my first training managers WIFE was harassing me from across the country and the manager took 0 responsibility and promptly put me under another manager thinking it would be okay. Then the wife continued to harass me. I had to threaten the law on her to get her to stop.

Horrible Management

Pros

Only pro is it is remote.

Cons

Impossible metrics, horrible managers that micromanage EVERYTHING you do, and if they could track and dictate how many times a day you fart they would. There are quite a few people who think they are better than everyone and think they know everything but don't. There are a few people who try their best to kiss butt and find things to report on you. Some managers cuss in meetings and are very unprofessional but since they are management there are no repercussions for them. All of them have their noses so far up each other's butts it's comical. Some of us employees have side group chats to vent and the things that we go through are insane with this company. They are so far behind on technology it's ridiculous. They outsource jobs that should be done by Americans and now they are selling the Benefits department. They really do suck. Awful company to work for. They pile on so much and expect you to be perfect when management is the problem. They never tell you you’re doing a good job and only focus on trying to find something you made a mistake on and call it out to the whole group to embarrass you. You can have top metrics for your team and they still try their best to find something to say you're doing wrong and if managers have to make something up so you look bad and they look good they will. Horrible people only look out for themselves.
