Good Company, Good Ideas, Bad Local Management
Pros
The company itself is good - they have a good concept of what they want to be & what they want to provide. They work to make sure their employees stay healthy by encouraging focus on fitness & healthy living, because they know that healthier employees = lower insurance costs they have to pay out.
Cons
They're pretty well known in the insurance industry for being the lowest paying company which is interesting considering that their policies are some of the most expensive - most people that work there aren't insured through them because they can't afford it unless they're higher up. The local office in Bloomington that I worked in had some serious management issues - they didn't communicate clearly with each other, and as a result the information coming to the employees wasn't always clear. It made for a very stressful work environment, and moral around the office truly sucked as a result. It's not fun to go into an office every day when you know people are going to be complaining about things most of the day.
