Pros

Allstate Benefits offers decent health benefits and programs to participate in. They keep their employees engaged through various charitable events and programs. They renovated the main campus building including the gym, repaved parking lots, and they keep the campus lawns extremely trimmed and well groomed. As an overall company, very nice.

Cons

Although the overall company atmosphere is great, there is low morale due to disorganization, knee-jerk reactions, and lack of vision across the business and IT areas.

Associate Property Claims Adjuster

Pros

A great training program, coupled with a reasonable starting salary, the property adjuster opportunities at Allstate are something to recommend. Allstate will spend the first 3 months of your career training you in all aspects of property adjusting including policy, estimating using the Xactimate system, and customer service. They will also pay for all fees and 3rd party schooling to get your state specific adjusters license. One could not ask for a better paid program to begin a career in adjusting. The office environment is friendly and the facilities are top-rate including a gym, cafeteria, dry cleaning, convenience store, park-like outdoor environments and even bicycles.

Cons

The workload is a bit unreasonable assigning anywhere from 5 to 12 claims per day once you are trained and depending on the time of year. This leads to a frantic workday. Rarely will you get to take advantage of the excellent facilities as you will be chained to your desk and phone. This inevitably leads to quick burnout for many otherwise excellent staff members, which leaves the office chronically understaffed.
