Pros

Benefits are good Management is always nice and pleasant to work with

Cons

Allstate does not take care of their customers Allstate is nit picky with their employees and what they will pay them and when they will pay them cat pay. Allstate finds way not to pay claims, they dissect every little thing and try to repair roofs when it’s unreasonable they make customers jump through hoops to get what they rightfully deserve. High turn over Poor training The employees that last a long time are extremely disgruntled with the company and how it treats its employees. Allstate does unethical things to customers and employees and gets away with it. Metrics metrics and more metrics that’s all that matters to Allstate Lower salary than the rest of the industry for employees. Allstate is a shameless company do not trust them

Pros

It would be easier to find a "pro" in a car-jacking. I purchased an Agency following 18 years of successful business development and sales management in Fintech and Fortune 100 companies. I've never witnessed a more hostile "working" relationship trying to learn & run my new business ($1MM + in annual bookings) while dealing with the strangest and overtly aggressive corporation imaginable. I lost a lot of money - and I left as quickly as possible. I feel bad for the Agents that have put their lives into building their business - only to watch the bottom of their Agency's valuation tank because Allstate is making it nearly impossible to grow and generate legitimate income. I hope this helps anybody that's considering the acquisition of an Agency. Note that Allstate is hiring corporate sales people that can sell insurance products for markedly less than the independent Agencies. This is new - and I am amazed that they are getting away with it. Corporate calls it "Agency Evolution" - which is the perfect analogy for this ship full of mouth-breathers. Like I said: wow

Cons

You'd need to survive 6 successive car-jackings in 6 successive weeks to "out-con" my experience as an Agency Owner.
