Call Center Job

Pros

Most colleagues were nice to work with.

Cons

Not until you are out of training do you find out that you will be working in a call center. It was my first call center job and hopefully my last. Too much controlling and a feeling of micro-managing. I worked with good people and the call center thing maybe works for others, but not me.

Pros

Remote work. Great co-workers on my team

Cons

Gender wage gap. Men with less experience and lower performance than me were making more. There is a focus on customer experience, but no consideration for recruiter experience. This role has turned into more of a paper pushing role, rather than an actual consultant. No upward career opportunities. Majority of leadership positions are filled by less qualified external candidates.
