Pros

Allstate tried to embrace the remote work, but it's going away

Cons

Salary and benefits are not competitive to the industry; Diversity & Inclusion means they hire you because you're different, but when you get there you will say, do, act, and think like they do or be pummeled (verbally, mentally, emotionally, and on your performance) until you do it "the Allstate way" or leave. There's no actual "leadership". It's all managers who are really just bullies with titles that allow them to get away with anything. Not even HR will say a word against the management even if they legally and ethically should.

Pros

Allstate is a great company to work for. They provide resources to help you along your journey as an adjuster.

Cons

On the catastrophic team you will have to be logged on to work from 7am to 7 pm. If you catch on quickly or have experience you maybe to finish your claims within 8 hours of less. You are still expected to be logged in from 7-7. If you are a new adjuster you may find yourself working longer than the 12 hours at times.

Pros

A lot of friendly people work at Allstate, for the most part its a hospitable place to work. Benefits are about average, and work-life balance can be good depending on what department you work in. D3 Data Science team has a great leadership team that is actively trying to create a positive culture. Allstate has very strong brand recognition and a solid balance sheet. They provide a very valuable service to their customers, and you can count on Allstate to pay claims fairly. If they can figure out how to better price and deliver in the digital age, they have a great opportunity to compete with Progressive and the new Fintech companies that are grabbing market share.

Cons

ATSV (IT Dept) is a mixed bag, many folks are way overworked (and underpaid) especially managers. However, at the same time there is a lot of dead weight that needs to be trimmed from the IT ranks. Lot's of problems in this division. Finance division is full of political monsters looking out for their own careers while providing little value to the company overall - stay away from the 360 Finance Team.
