Pros

100% work from home eases the pain

Cons

Tenured “lifers” that have no clue what they are doing. Promotions are based on compliance and relationship to your immediate manager. Toxic, unethical work environment. Horrible benefits. You pay for your own PTO from your total compensation. Managers take credit for their reports ideas and work.

Pros

Great PTO - I have over 6 weeks Good development opportunities. They will teach you how to do well in interviews Direct managers are generally pretty good If you can hack it, you will stand out.

Cons

The claims org is a hot mess. Management staffs according to made up numbers and they never account for attrition. Morale is at an all-time low and we are constantly churning adjusters. It will get better in theory but it has been like this since November 2020 and I don't see it changing anytime soon

Pros

- The culture with people in the design community are really some of the most wonderful people you'll ever meet. It's like a family. - There is...ok work /life balance

Cons

- The pay is way below market average - Lots of bureaucracy and red tape, more so than any other company - Lots of posturing from managers and senior managers, meaning it's extremely hierarchal - No job advancement, unless someone leaves, and even then, you have to APPLY to the next role, not because you deserved it, but because you have to show them that you want it more than any external applicants - The organization claims it cares about UX (user experience), but everything that you see shows that all the head honchos really care about is selling selling selling. So everything is all about marketing and advertising. They're not focused on making their products better, or listening to user feedback. They more focused on getting more people in the door to offer them a mediocre product, when their competitors are vastly outpacing them.
