Pros

Even though I've only been aboard a short time, I'm impressed with the individuals I work with. The hours and benefits seem better than with other companies of similar size. New hires receive 27 days off between PTO and Holidays, which is rather generous given the turmoil with the business. Now that the GMAC is a bank holding company, I believe there's a tremendous opportunity in the future both near and long term

Cons

Not sure yet; have not been there long enough to know

Pros

GMAC had a great family atmosphere and people were generally pretty supportive of each other. Pay was in line with the market and time off was better than market

Cons

Ft. Washington and Mpls had a very hard time getting along when the ResCap merger occurred. Silly sibling squabbles prevented a lot of good work. Sr. Mgmt often had hidden agendas.

Pros

Great vacation and flexible work schedule.

Cons

GMAC used to be a great company to work at. The merger with GMAC Residential out of Pennsylvania pretty much destroyed that, and the mortgage melt down destroyed the company.
