- over-engineering culture. The first thing the company did after raising a series B is build more microservices and it had the CTOs blessing. Now products ship 3x slower while operating costs are higher. - half-baked product ideas, the founders just want everyone to try out anything but nothing sticks. Now they have a ton of responsibility to fulfill on top of already suffering product direction. It’s gonna be a snowball effect - disgruntled european counterparts. They are not getting raises because the company financials are suffering so they go after people who live in a higher cost of living area than them, grow up. - can’t close deals when competing with other competitors.
