Great place to learn

Pros

Each franchise is different, but at my location the office culture is a teamwork attitude. The owner here has a very positive attitude and is open to listening to ideas from any member of the team. It makes everyone feel more invested in the success of the shop. It's a great place to start a career and learn a great deal if you are not afraid to work and ask questions. Work/Life balance has been great, the small company atmosphere allows the owner to see us as people with families and they are very understanding when "life happens".

Cons

Official promotions are scarce/non-existent. Performance reviews are few and far between. There is no clear path for employees to improve themselves and advance. No benefits unless required by law.

Pros

Simple volume based commission structure for sales. Hands on ownership committed to innovation and capital reinvestment in the business.

Cons

Needs to fully integrate plant process automation via EFI pace. Horrible plant location will only get worse as Seattle waterfront redevelopment commences.

Pros

A paycheck, if that's what you want to call it.

Cons

Working at Alphagraphics, in the Marietta, GA area, was one of the worst experiences I've ever had, working in the print industry of the Atlanta, GA area. The management encourages gossip and tolerates employees screaming (literally screaming) at one another. The mood of the place was awful and oppressive. Management offered a substandard benefits package and a laughably low hourly wage. The place had a revolving staff because Management fired employees constantly, often for reasons that were vague or completely illogical. Employees were promised a 401k, which was immediately retracted. In the nearly 20 years I have been employed as a print professional, working at Alphagraphics in Marietta, Georgia, was one of the worst experiences I've ever endured. It was two rotten years of stress, negativity and the paycheck of the working poor.
