      Fun, Challenging, and Creative Work Environment

      Pros

      Excited to go to work everyday. You work in and learn about a new sector or industry everyday -- always a new challenge. Management does a great job fostering a creative, fun environment, and encouraging employees to innovate and create initiates to improve the work place.

      Cons

      Analyst role is extremely fast-paced, and can get rather overwhelming at times. Some people seem to thrive off this, while it can be quite challenging for others.

      Pros

      AlphaSights is a really interesting company, by expertly maintaining a startup culture they keep employees happy despite that they’re being paid under the market rate for monotonous work that lacks any form of intellectual stimulation. Many people will be happy working here, my only advice to current and prospective employees is to really think about what you're being offered in exchange for the work you are doing.

      Cons

      Most of the daily work consists of looking people up on linkedin, calling people on the phone, and scheduling phone calls for clients, none of which is intellectually stimulating in any way. The only skill that you will take away from this job is the ability to speak on the phone, which you will get very good at. It is amazing to see how a fun culture can make almost everyone at this company ok with being paid so little to live in NYC and work 60+ hours a week.

      Pros

      Fast growth, challenging yet stimulating work and problem solving, great company culture. This company really believes that people are their strongest asset, and hey hire accordingly. I have never been around this many smart, driven, and fun people in one place. The opportunities are endless and if you are willing to compete and innovate, this is the place for a steep career trajectory. The firm also grows very organically and awards promotions and increasing responsibility very quickly to those who stand out.

      Cons

      Not a con for me, but there are many elements of friendly competition and performance can be quantified to a certain extent so there is no hiding behind the desk and scraping by.
