Pros

I enjoy the comradery of the entire team. Everyone here is willing to help if I need assistance. I also enjoy how kind everyone is. Typically in sales positions there will be selfish sales people that step on others the succeed or are rude to customers, I see none of that here at Alpine.

Cons

We do need to have better product management as far as web pages are concerned.

Pros

Really helpful coworkers, the people that are supposed to be answering your questions usually do not but your coworkers always put 100% effort into helping you when they can. Working remote is nice, but you are tied down to your desk since they use PC's. And if you want to work from somewhere else you have to bring the PC computer with you and find a monitor. Gain sharing bonus is nice every month, usually between $100 to $200 during busier months. PC bonus is nice, if you can meet all the requirements to get it (not logging in one second late during the whole month, meeting call script requirements to a T, etc.) Pretty good training program, spent 2 weeks full training so only went on the phones solo once ready. The times when you are NOT on the phones can be nice, doing admin work, doing system duplicate look-thoughs, etc. But they will be on your *ss the entire time. All equipment provided. Weekly 1:1 and group meetings to air your concerns and ask for training if needed. They are pretty good at offering additional training. 10 days PTO (though it accrues very very slowly)

Cons

2 friends of mine were looking for jobs and I recommended it to them, then a couple weeks later realized they do not want to work here lol.. Here are some things you should know: If you log in even a second too late you will be docked $5 from your monthly bonus and points from your queue score. If you miss a day of work you will be docked I believe $5 for each day. No paid sick leave, it's almost like you pay them to be sick since they dock you from your monthly bonus. Customer are rude, talk over you, call you inappropriate names, scream at you, etc. (which is fairly common in customer service) but you have to keep your tone perfectly pleasant the entire time or you are docked from your monthly bonus. Management really needs some work.. they push and push and push and do not have any concern for you as an employee. Only care about pushing out numbers. BTW there are days they are making over a million $$ in profits and our monthly bonus is only $100.. so where are all the profits going that you are pumping out?? The equipment is super super spotty. The system is constantly down, but you still have to be taking calls with no system to pull info from/enter info into. Or if your phone is down or something is not working on your end they just assume it's you when you have no control over their equipment. Lower management (and people who think they are management but just love to be on your *ss all day) will delegate things to you, but then pick them apart anyway and call you 7 times before you can even finish something because "you did it wrong" even though you haven't even finish working on it yet. They'll then pick them apart in your weekly 1:1 meeting. Super super anal about things that really don't make a difference. They add more and more responsibilities onto your plate without adjusting your compensation. I put in my 2 weeks and got a call to say they are accepting it effective immediately, which they did to several other people, so make sure if you quit you put in your "two weeks" when you actually want to be done lol. Overall not a bad place to work if you are looking for an in-between/temporary job, definitely not a career. Great people, poor lower management, upper management is whacky, poor systems.
