Pros
Good life/work balance, flexibility to work across other offices, great coworkers, the bike/transit/wellness benefit is nice but could be more beneficial of actually part of the annual compensation. I do appreciate the variety of projects that Alta works on.
Cons
10-20% less pay than our competitors. As you move up you are tasked with growing responsibilities (to be expected) but are not equally compensated for your performance or commitment to the company. The company as a whole has a reputation for not finding value in entry-level staff. The way the company is run it seems like it's a small office, but the reality is that Alta is no longer small. It requires better management and communications with staff. Also, in my time with Alta I've seen a lot of turnover. Retention is hard when employees feel undervalued.
